Around Chad's location
« on: July 11, 2008, 05:21:24 PM »
Numbers on OMF :

"One glaring difference of the Chad location is it is on private property. Having been to the exact spots of these photos (within a foot or two) I can tell you that you don't simply go wandering around down there. If you do, you are asking for trouble. We were only allowed on this area because we were given special permission and escorted. When we strayed beyond the restrictions we were immediately set upon by large dogs and were made to feel very unwanted.

So you need to ask yourself, of all the public locations to choose from why does a hoaxer take chances like this? It makes little sense for a hoaxer to use this location for photos. Then while there I looked around the horizon and noticed on the mountain top a military looking installation of towers and radar domes. Who knows?
"

OK, did you try to locate these installations with Google Earth ?

The only motivation for the DRT is finding the truth.

It's called Mount Umunhum.  It's publicly known as a decommisioned air force radar installation.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Umunhum

Who knows?  Could it be something is still active up there?  From what I have read the area is still patrolled for tresspassers.  This is posted by people who snoop around up there complete with comments about "albinos" living up there.  http://ryskamp.org/brain/cycling/assault-on-mount-umunhum

I found this one piece of info :

"Suspect Search Called Off In Marijuana Farm Shootout"
http://www.ktvu.com/news/4814829/detail.html
which means that some drone witnesses in the Valley
may not want to testify about their strange sightings.

Which confirms what I've been saying  ;) about my suspicions in that area..

Photo and map resources for the Mountain to site here:

Looks ideal for launching drones, perhaps it is just too visable. Perhaps we can find a similar site in similar area of the Santa Cruz Mountains? Also of notable interest is that this peak is directly north of Capitola and the reputed location of Rajman1977's photographs.
