Actually, the problem is again the lexicon. What the term is is "foreshortening", fully, "perspective foreshortening". The comparitive image was not normalized for the length of the arm: ie, the arm cannot actually grow in length, although by optical illusion it may appear to do so.
Had the arm been normalized the inner segments would appear to be smaller and the illusion would have been more apparent. See:

No,...still the same colour, it did pick up ambient light. And actually it's light grey.

No,...still the same colour, it did pick up ambient light. And actually it's light grey.


Now reader is finding something wrong with the lighting  ::) .  I knew this was going to happen but I held my tongue. :P

This is one of our first models.  It shows a Drone in a possible folded position.  We always thought the boom and arms could be tilted and rotated around the central ring on a rail system.  This would make changing the various elements and their positions easy.  We placed this image on another forum over a year ago and the entire thread promptly disappeared.  Beware of the smarmy brigade and their empty flattery, their one mission is exactly the one most here believe.  The acceptance of the Drone/Isaac business is beyond the bounds of their large egos and small world view.
