Maury Island Drones - June 1947

THE MAURY ISLAND INCIDENT: A SYNOPSIS

On 21 June, 1947, three days before Kenneth Arnold reported his observation of a formation of objects traveling like a saucer skipped across the water, a significant event occurred.

In Puget Sound harbor, between Tacoma and Seattle, Washington, Harold A. Dahl, his teenage son Charles, two other crew members and the family dog were patrolling for salvage logs when they saw six huge doughnut-shaped objects in the sky. The objects appeared to be about one hundred feet in diameter and of a bright metallic appearance. Five of the objects were circling a sixth, which looked as if it were in difficulty.

Suddenly, there was an explosion, and the sixth vessel discharged a quantity of metallic residue. Flakes of material similar to aluminum and some additional material (which resembled cooled lava) fell around them. Some fragments hit the boat and caused damage, one fragment injured Dahl's son and another killed the family dog. 11

One of the circling discs approached the malfunctioning disc and in some fashion "jump-started" it. All of the discs then rose rapidly and vanished.

Dahl reported the incident to Fred Lee Crisman, who contacted Ray Palmer. Ray Palmer then sent Kenneth Arnold $200 to investigate.
$200 seemed like such an enormous sum that when Arnold bragged at the office of the Idaho Daily Statesman, the editor sent a telegram to Air Force Intelligence to report about the event. 12

On the 1st of August, two Army Air Corps Officers, 1st Lt. Frank M. Brown and Capt. William L. Davidson, who had been sent to investigate the incident, were killed when their B-25 carrying the photographs and some of the alleged UFO residue mysteriously crashed.

UFO hunters take on this Maury Island 1947 case and describe DOUGHNUT SHAPED craft:

Paranormal Sightings: The UFO Before Roswell (Full Documentary)

Note: Both this Maury Island case and the Brent case are from Washington state, and they both describe ring shaped craft "appeared to be malfunctioning".

To add, samples from the Maury Island craft were being delivered back to Hamilton air field in California. Could this be where the Inventory image was photographed?

Hamilton airfield is an odd one, all the hangers have been re-purposed and the original runway could have been no more than 3000 to 4000 feet before the hangers were built. It would have been odd to have always been a helicopter base. Probably a time burner but it has me curious.

Talk about a major transformation, clearly this is nothing like what would have been the situation in 1947. Major wetland restoration is now covering what would have been the runway. Very interesting history and one would not expect that such a major airfield could have been so changed in so short a time.

According to GoogleEarth historical imagery, the coverup of the tarmac occurred after June 29 2007:
