I'm not sure if this will put an end to this but I will assure you that the incorporation of drone-like imagery into TSCC should not in any way suggest there was/is a relationship between the original drone images and our show. The drone images are as much a puzzle to me as to anybody else...Maybe more so, as my obsession with their mysterious origins led me to go on and on about them in the writers' room...So much so that we ultimately used the mystery as a platform for "Earthlings Welcome Here."

It never occurred to me that anyone would use their inclusion in our show to cast any doubt onto the drones authenticity. They may be a hoax--it's ultimately a matter of faith for many--but the fact that the drones are discussed on TSCC is only a testament to their hold on my imagination.

You may also doubt that I am who I say I am. I'm not exactly sure how to prove my own authenticity. Charlie Jane and I sat together upstairs at the WB booth at comic-con and I showed him the i09 button on my iPhone if that'll help.

Se ya'll back on the air Feb 13th.

No Fate,

Nice find!  What I've highlighted is very telling to me!  If someone in that position is that fascinated by them and cannot tell if they are a hoax, then I won't put a lot of stock into the internet "experts"... ;)

I’ve seen the dragonfly drone craft with my own eyes, so I know it’s not a “viral” campaign to some dumb television series. Yes, there are hoaxes out there, and yes science fiction writers and producers “steal” everything and anything that’s part of vintage and current ufo lore, from these aerial drone crafts to elements from the saga of Dan Burisch. However, these drones are very real and otherworldly. And being in their presence is an experience I’ll never forget.

Thank you OTF for the blog quotation from a witness.  Interesting for sure.

 May I add that  just looking at the Hi-Res Big Basin photos that Linda Howe emailed  and reading Issacs' letter and documents is an experience I will never forget.

My book research revealed that the Drones have been surveying the earth for hundreds of years and most likely for thousands of years.

Thanks to the use of cellphone and digital cameras we finally have 'proof' that they actually exist.....even if the Nors [the space alien owners of the drones]  would mostly prefer otherwise.

I saw Spf posting about the Terminator show which aired last night.  No more drones, huh?  I wonder why the producers/writers decided not to go any further down that road?  Seems odd to me to have the other show have it's finale climax with a shot of a drone and then totally ignore it in the follow up.  I can see many fans left scratching their heads.

Scared, for more than one reason. If real, the exposure in a serie rises questions that cannot be answered by bad research by the TV writer(s), and therefor in risk of investigation, or afraid of exposure of a (now) known hoax, established by so called "experts", proving this event hoax. Which ofcourse is wrong, as it still is open..

But the actual use of just the "Drones" in a sci-fi series, has to leave some evident fact, as if not, it loses it's sale affect. If proven hoax, how many DVD's will sell, and the actual show might lose all viewer interest.

So, actually, if the SCC chose to discontinue the "Drones of California" as presented in the earlier show, only brings more wood to the fire, that this might be a more complex issue than many to this day have known.

Just my humble opinion,

thought this was interesting.  the art director for flight of the navigator michael novotny also is credited on the tssc as the production designer.

disney's Flight of The Navigator (1986);

"Released at the dawn of 3D animation technology, Flight of the Navigator was the world's first 35 mm feature film to use environment mapping, creating the illusion of a chrome object occupying a live-action frame, considered by many to hold up to today's standards. The CG shots were produced by Omnibus Graphics, one of the first computer animation companies, responsible for most of the classic advertising 3D animation of the '80s."

"Max is a spaceship from Disney's Flight of the Navigator. Over the course of the movie, Max comes to collect samples from Planet Earth and return them to Planet Phaelon...Along the way, he crashes losing the information he collected. The information Max needs is stored in young David Freeman who is taken forward in time from 1978 to 1986."

Trimaxion Drone Ship:

around 21 seconds for some very lap-like designs (youtube.com/watch?v=c3l4BF00Lbk);

check around 8 seconds, rigid spatial relationship? (youtube.com/watch?v=XnB7rIL2fy800);

of course;
"Some incredible alien space craft crashed into some power lines. Although the electric company manages to restore service quickly, Dr. Louis Faraday and his team are having no luck learning about this spaceship.  Then one of them produces a picture of the ship which popped out of David's head into a hospital computer"

dvd screencaps(2.2mb):

mr. novotny also is credited with production designer on The Arrival (1996).

extraterrestrials - check, lap-like alien fonts - check, drone-like alien hardware - check, nasa references - check
